Safety Program Manager

Join our team as a Safety Program Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in leading and facilitating safety processes within our manufacturing environment. Ensure that all safety issues are promptly addressed and that compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Kroger Co. standards is maintained. Collaborate with the entire plant team to achieve individual and safety goals, while promoting our commitment to Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. Key Responsibilities: Provide updates to the Leadership team on safety concerns, regulatory compliance issues, and corrective action plans. Manage the compilation and submission of required reports, surveys, and audits for regulatory agencies. Develop, review, and maintain the Emergency Response Plan compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Keep abreast of all relevant FDA, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations. Administer and maintain the Respiratory Protection Plan ensuring compliance standards are met. Oversee the development, analysis, maintenance, and training related to policies and procedures for compliance with safety regulations. Ensure compliance with the Clean Air Act and required reporting forms for the EPA. Manage data gathering and submission of annual reports to the EPA. Facilitate investigations of incidents and near misses to uncover root causes and implement preventive measures. Train and advise safety teams to promote continuous improvement in safety processes. Conduct internal safety audits and inspections for potential hazards. Accountable to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles. Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Work around food products that may contain allergens. Qualifications: Minimum: Experience in Behavioral Based Safety. Compliance/regulatory background with knowledge of relevant regulations. CRP/First Aid Certification. OSHA 10 Hour or SafetyTech Training. Ability to read and interpret safety documents. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines. Excellent analytical and investigative skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Desired: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. OSHA 30 Hour Training Certification and experience managing teams. 2+ years of compliance/regulatory experience with a focus on Behavioral Based Safety. Salary range: $63,600 - $111,200 per year.
