Commercial Driver for Rail Services Operations

Job Summary We are looking for enthusiastic Commercial Drivers who are ready to travel for extended periods as part of a dedicated team focused on railway safety. This position requires traveling for 3-4 months at a time across designated regions. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate specialized detector vehicles on and off railroad tracks, adapting to various road conditions. Perform thorough vehicle inspections and effectively set up equipment for testing operations. Accurately capture and interpret data using computer monitors. Service, maintain, and repair vehicles and testing equipment, including working in confined spaces. Climb steps or ladders to enter/exit the vehicle and aid in ground examinations of railways. Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing necessary personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. Engage in annual training that emphasizes Road Worker Safety. Working Conditions: This role involves fieldwork in various weather conditions, which may include extreme temperatures. Safety and Responsibilities: Follow safety guidelines to create a secure working environment. Immediately report any safety violations or hazards to your supervisor. Qualifications: The ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications: A valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks. Capacity to lift and carry up to 85 lbs with occasional help for heavier loads. Able to squat, kneel, and crawl as required. Comfortable working in confined spaces (18-inch clearance). Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in commercial driving. A High School Diploma or GED.
