On-Call Housekeeping Staff - AM & PM Shifts

POSITION SUMMARY The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in residents' rooms and common areas. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for essential duties including: Performing daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, hallways, and common areas to meet health standards. Disinfecting equipment and supplies using appropriate cleaning methods. Preparing cleaning solutions accurately as per guidelines. Transporting linens and supplies with wheeled carts. Emptying wastebaskets and disposing of trash properly. Vacuuming carpets and cleaning upholstered furniture. Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures. Mopping and sanitizing floors in various locations. Sorting and storing clean linens and transporting soiled items. Keeping storage areas and cleaning carts organized and stocked. Preparing rooms for events while ensuring their cleanliness. Requesting facility maintenance services when needed. Assisting with spills and providing support as requested. Washing, ironing, and folding linens and personal items as required. Spot cleaning walls and windows for a polished appearance. Performing cleaning of vacant apartments as assigned. Maintaining silver fixtures and ensuring they shine. JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in this role, you should possess: At least 1 year of relevant work experience. An ability to work with computers and familiarity with timekeeping systems. Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other languages is a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position generally involves indoor work, but may occasionally require outdoor supervision. You might be exposed to varying temperatures and cleaning chemicals. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The role requires you to stand for prolonged periods, walk frequently, and perform physical tasks such as: Reaching, bending, stooping, and the ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
