Epic Systems Analyst - Beaker Application Specialist

Company: enGen Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Join our team as an Epic Systems Analyst with a specialization in Beaker! We are looking for a professional who possesses laboratory expertise and a robust understanding of Epic integration points. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for configuring, rolling out, and supporting the Beaker Epic application(s). Your responsibilities will encompass business and systems analysis, requirements definition, documentation, system design, and problem resolution. You will be the link between end-users and the system, understanding their challenges and implementing effective solutions while upholding the AHN Core Behaviors. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Epic Beaker System Management: Lead the planning, design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of the Beaker Epic software. You will analyze system requirements and specifications, conduct workflow analysis, and evaluate user experience, ensuring the application meets our environmental and operational needs. Configuration & Optimization: Utilize your in-depth Epic knowledge to configure enhancements within the Epic environments, delivering standardized and efficient workflows. You will address issues, maintain systems, and incorporate new functionalities to better serve the end-user experience. Problem Resolution & Support: Take the initiative to resolve issues independently, leveraging collaboration with other IT teams to drive resolutions efficiently. You will provide guidance to end-users, helping them maximize their use of the Epic system while conducting root cause analysis to eliminate problems effectively. Project Contribution & Management: Engage in managing significant project portions, keeping stakeholders updated on progress and challenges. You will contribute to small and medium-scale projects independently, enhancing our operational capabilities. Process Improvement & Innovation: Solicit proactive improvements to workflows, working under the guidance of management. Recognize and champion innovative uses of the application that enhance practices while innovating with new technologies. Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with clinical, business, and technical teams in a supportive manner. Play a vital role in training employees and offering mentoring to less experienced analysts, guiding them through tasks and ensuring quality and accuracy in their work. Technical Analysis & Documentation: Provide in-depth workflow analysis and compile documentation that captures how applications function, based on client needs. Create and maintain support materials and training documentation for applications. EXPERIENCE Required 3 years of systems administration experience within one or more Epic modules. Preferred Experience with Epic Beaker 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry SKILLS Ability to manage analysis, design, configuration, and testing tasks with a moderate level of complexity. Excellent customer service skills. Strong critical thinking capabilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills to foster teamwork. Strong organizational abilities for priority management. Familiarity with project management principles relevant to your tasks. EDUCATION Required Associates degree. Substitutions 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of an Associate's Degree. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare or relevant experience. LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONS Required Epic Application Certification within 6 months.
