Make Your Impact with Farm Family Insurance As the Manager of Agricultural Underwriting, you will ensure that policy changes and reinstatements are processed quickly and accurately, consistently meeting regulatory standards and service level objectives. Be at the forefront of important projects and strategic initiatives, shaping the future of underwriting in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Your Responsibilities Oversee underwriting operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of policy changes and reinstatements while maintaining compliance with all regulations. Coach and support underwriters, providing co-signs for guideline adherence, facilitating ongoing training and development, adjusting workloads for optimal flow, and setting clear performance goals for the team. Establish and refine processes to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness. Serve as the key liaison for your territory by coordinating with field leadership, responding to claims inquiries, and managing regulatory tasks. Lead underwriting audits, enforce best practices, and actively participate in strategic projects and committee meetings. What You'll Need to Succeed Over eight years of property and casualty underwriting experience, preferably with agricultural risks. Advanced skills in underwriting systems and data management. Strong business acumen, analytical decision-making, and resilience, thriving in fast-paced environments and adaptively managing challenges. Emotional intelligence in leadership, fostering collaboration, offering meaningful coaching, and building strong relationships across teams and partners. Confident communication with executive leadership and peers, utilizing polished presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite and key business software. A college degree and/or insurance industry designation(s) will enhance your candidacy. The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000, based on experience and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a bonus according to the applicable incentive plan.
