As a valued member of our Vetco Total Care Full-Service Veterinary Hospitals, you will play a vital role in fulfilling this mission. Our veterinarians are committed to providing exceptional care and support for both pets and their families. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment, including ultrasound and heated hydraulic surgery tables, while collaborating with a team of skilled professionals eager to expand their knowledge. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering outstanding patient care through thorough examinations, accurate diagnostics, and effective treatments tailored to meet each pet's unique needs. Utilizing a comprehensive problem-solving approach by developing detailed problem lists and diagnostic plans for each patient. Maintaining precise medical records that clearly capture examinations, treatments, and client interactions. Conducting both routine and complex surgical procedures along with dental evaluations. Creating effective treatment plans for hospitalized patients and ensuring smooth transitions to overnight care as needed. Additional responsibilities include: Participating in team rounds to ensure effective communication and excellent case management. Sharing knowledge with colleagues to enhance the quality of care and communication. Performing any additional tasks as assigned. You will report directly to the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director and be empowered to make critical patient care decisions. Collaboration with fellow veterinarians is essential, and professionalism is expected in all interactions. This role will significantly impact our organization by upholding high standards of care, promoting employee retention, and increasing client satisfaction. Qualifications include: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited school. Active veterinary licensure in the state of practice or the ability to obtain it by the start date. Current DEA and Controlled Substance Licenses as required. USDA Category I Accreditation or a commitment to secure it within two months post-hire. Comfort with anesthesia and routine surgical procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Compassion and professionalism under pressure. Computer proficiency and a collaborative team spirit. This position requires physical activities, including bending, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and extended periods of standing, as most responsibilities are carried out within the Vetco Total Care hospital setting.
