About the Role Reports To: Head of Delivery Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled Atlassian Administrator to take charge of our Atlassian Cloud environment, ensuring it aligns with the needs of our engineering and product teams. This key position is responsible for creating scalable workflows, automation, and integrations that enhance productivity, minimize reactive tasks, and boost visibility across Engineering, Product, Customer Service, and Delivery teams. You will manage the configuration of our Atlassian environment and its integrations with tools such as Slack, GitHub, and components of our AWS and CI/CD stack. Your goal is to ensure seamless interactions between systems for accurate and intuitive insights into delivery health and release readiness. This position typically involves working 20 hours per week, with potential flexibility to increase to 30 hours during peak times. Compensation is set at $30 per hour. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage Cosmo's Atlassian Cloud environment, guaranteeing that Jira, Confluence, and related services are reliable and scalable. Design, configure, and maintain Jira workflows, issue types, fields, screens, schemes, and notifications aligned with Cosmo's operational model. Implement and uphold workflows for intake, prioritization, and release supporting processes as per Delivery and Engineering leadership directives. Enhance automation through Jira Automation and JQL to improve data quality and minimize manual coordination. Create and sustain integrations between the Atlassian platform and tools such as Slack, GitHub, and CI/CD systems for improved visibility. Develop dashboards and reports that communicate delivery health, release readiness, intake volume, and workflow compliance. Identify and address workflow inefficiencies, data gaps, and usability issues, proposing system-wide enhancements. Evaluate, implement, and manage Atlassian Marketplace apps and third-party integrations that provide clear benefits. Establish and document best practices and governance standards for Atlassian use ensuring consistency without being overly process-heavy. Provide documentation and enablement materials to support proper usage across Engineering and Product teams. Utilize AI-driven tools (like Atlassian Intelligence) to enhance intake triage, automation, and reporting, highlighting trends and risks while maintaining human oversight. About You You thrive on developing systems that promote clarity, consistency, and effectiveness within teams. Qualifications Required 3-5+ years of practical experience in administering Atlassian Cloud. Atlassian certifications (Cloud Administration or Jira Administration) are beneficial, but hands-on experience in designing and evolving systems is paramount. Strong grasp of Jira’s workflows, schemes, permissions, and automation features. Proficient in JQL and Jira Automation. Experience in creating dashboards and reports that provide delivery and release visibility. Experience integrating Jira with tools like GitHub, Slack, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud infrastructure. Strong systems thinking and meticulous attention to detail. Able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Points For: Experience administering Confluence and designing reusable templates. Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models. Experience in supporting delivery workflows.
