We are seeking a passionate and energetic Fitness Program Manager who thrives on inspiring others to achieve their health and wellness goals. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with club members, schedule appointments, and forge lasting connections, while driving personal training package sales and providing mentorship to our team of personal trainers. Position Purpose: Lead a cohesive Personal Training team, ensuring that every member enjoys an exceptional fitness experience and maintaining a robust client pipeline. Responsibilities: Meet and exceed monthly sales targets, supporting membership growth and maximizing new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue. Work alongside the membership sales team to streamline new member onboarding and fortify sales initiatives, providing a seamless club experience. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers. Manage payroll for Assistant Fitness Managers and Personal Trainers, ensuring prompt and accurate compensation. Clearly communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to all department leaders and staff for a comprehensive understanding of roles. Verify that all fitness staff possess the necessary certifications, including CPR, First Aid, and legitimate personal trainer certifications. Deliver constructive feedback to staff, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement in a clear manner. Ensure top-notch customer service by promptly addressing member inquiries and concerns. Engage with members warmly, actively listening to their needs and providing clear, relevant responses. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring appropriate certifications and protocols are followed. Oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, including all equipment and common areas. In emergencies or disruptions, maintain clear communication with staff and members to ensure everyone’s safety. Qualifications: At least 2 years of management experience; prior experience in fitness or personal training management is a plus. 3-4 years of customer service experience. Strong personal training sales experience is highly preferred. Genuine interest or experience in the fitness industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for meaningful interactions. Outstanding relationship-building and influencing skills with people at all levels. Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving; strong time management and organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office. Must hold a valid personal training certification. Previous sales experience is required. Ability to thrive in a gym environment, engaging with members across club floors. Proficient in accessing and operating the company’s computer systems effectively. Able to bend routinely and lift over 40 lbs. Compensation and Benefits: Variable income opportunities including commissions and bonuses. Salary increase after training.
