The Coinbase Growth team focuses on scaling our platform by identifying high-impact opportunities to enhance user connections and maximize product value. We are searching for an entrepreneurial and strategic Product Manager to join our Engagement team, dedicated to creating a delightful and retaining user experience. Your primary mission will be to develop the notification engine for Coinbase. You will oversee the core notification platform responsible for delivering billions of notifications, enhancing the overall user notification experience through optimization and engagement strategies. Our three primary objectives include: Step 1: Grow Monthly Active Users (MAU) - Attract and re-engage users who are currently inactive. Step 2: Drive Meaningful Engagement - Create a valuable and informative experience to help users succeed on Coinbase. Step 3: Maximize Lifetime Value - Utilize machine learning to optimize notification inventory, delivery, and targeting for long-term customer value. Key Responsibilities: Own the Future Trading Companion - Transform notifications from simple alerts to an intelligent system that predicts market trends, simplifies noise into actionable signals, and advises millions of users toward profitable decisions in real-time. Build for Scale and Speed - Design a notification infrastructure capable of delivering time-sensitive alerts swiftly, because every moment matters in the crypto world. Engage a Large Audience - Shape strategies for push, in-app, and email notifications that reach Coinbase's vast global user base and significantly impact trading volume and revenue. Pioneer ML-driven Personalization - Collaborate with machine learning teams to create insights delivered at the right moment to the right users, balancing engagement with notification fatigue. Collaborate Across Functions - Work closely with teams such as ML, marketing, platform engineering, and design to implement effective stateful notification systems that uphold user experience. Drive Measurable Business Impact - Own key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to revenue, trading volume, user retention, and engagement, ensuring your contributions propel Coinbase's growth metrics. Qualifications: 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in a high-performing Growth team at a consumer tech company. An entrepreneurial mindset (0-to-1) with a readiness to roll up your sleeves and test ideas manually before automation. Strong systems thinking (1-to-N), seeing one-off solutions as prototypes for scalable frameworks. Direct experience in growth, notifications, or engagement, with a record of managing impactful systems. Analytical skills to collaborate with Data Science in building measurement and A/B testing frameworks from the ground up. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead complex, multi-quarter projects across various teams. Nice to Have: A passion for or experience in crypto. A strong interest in impacting business outcomes related to revenue generation and lifetime value optimization. Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $144,500 to $170,000 USD based on work location. Total compensation may include equity, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
