Join Parexel as the Director of Project Management and Patient Safety Initiatives and lead transformative projects in our Patient Safety department. This pivotal role provides the opportunity to oversee our Patient Safety Project Leadership Organization, collaborating with senior management, clients, and project teams to deliver outstanding Patient Safety Services. Your leadership will be vital in shaping operational strategies, enhancing continuous improvements, and advancing the overall goals of our Business Unit. Additionally, you will play a key role in the proposal development and business growth processes at the project level. Key Responsibilities: Leadership Lead the Patient Safety Project Leadership team by establishing a clear strategic vision and ensuring successful attainment of goals. Drive departmental initiatives and strategic planning to elevate project delivery standards. Enhance financial performance through strategic plans that optimize operational productivity and revenue growth. Foster innovation by evaluating existing processes and promoting efficiency improvements. Establish yourself as a thought leader in the Patient Safety domain, amplifying our department's external brand recognition. Team Management Provide strategic and operational support to the Safety Project Leadership team. Mentor team members in crafting effective patient engagement strategies that meet client expectations. Identify skill gaps within the team and implement plans to enhance knowledge and capabilities. Hold teams accountable for achieving financial, operational, and corporate objectives. Oversee employee performance through structured goal setting and evaluations. Metrics Management Oversee the collection and analysis of metrics and case studies that underpin the Patient Safety organization. Propose innovative strategies and technologies to increase productivity within the Patient Safety team. Client Engagement & Business Development Assist in business operations through proposal preparation and participate in the bid defense process. Act as the primary liaison for strategic partnerships and key client relationships. Technical Expertise Provide expert guidance on Safety Project Leadership and best project management practices. Quality Assurance and Compliance Ensure timely delivery of essential client deliverables while adhering to budget constraints. Maintain high standards of quality and compliance in project execution, following SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Preferred Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities. Comprehensive understanding of drug safety and the drug development lifecycle. Ability to navigate and interpret global safety regulations. Experience with data analysis and safety report preparation is strongly preferred. Excellent team leadership and delegation skills. Strong capability in mentoring and training team members effectively. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in time management and organization. Client-focused approach to work. Experience with Pharmacovigilance systems is a bonus. Background or qualifications in Clinical Research or Pharmacovigilance is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications. Adept at strategically managing regulatory and client requests. Flexibility to embrace new tasks and learning opportunities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while paying attention to detail. Commitment to teamwork in a matrix environment. Required Knowledge and Experience: At least 13 years in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry, including experience in clinical operations and decentralized clinical trials. 7-10 years in management roles overseeing projects. Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with significant background in executive or senior management roles in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.
