Are you ready to pave the way to your future? We are excited to announce that we are looking for a talented Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tennessee. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about roadway design and development. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in a variety of exciting projects that enhance infrastructure across the Gulf Region. Relocation to Tennessee is required for candidates who are currently out of state. Your Responsibilities: Calculate plan quantities and engineering estimates, develop construction specifications, and coordinate effectively with subconsultants. Lead or assist in project design development and guide Engineers in Training (EIs) and designers in executing and delivering project work that is client-focused. Apply established engineering techniques and standards in your work. Prepare and modify technical reports, specifications, construction schedules, and project designs. Collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver a range of transportation and civil design projects while participating in business development efforts. Engage in ongoing development and implementation of team strategies and ensure coordination to uphold best practices. Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and strategies. Complete detailed engineering assignments, including calculations and standard work activities. Analyze data, identify discrepancies, and apply standard practices to resolve issues. Work diligently to adhere to project timelines and budgets, ensuring cost-effective project completion. Maintain quality assurance and control standards in accordance with our quality manual. What You Need to Succeed: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. 3-6 years of relevant experience in roadway design. Proven track record of meeting Department of Transportation (DOT) expectations, schedules, and budgets. Experience with TDOT is preferred but not mandatory. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desirable; Tennessee PE is a plus. Familiarity with DOT design methods, plan preparation, standards, and specifications. Proficient in using OpenRoads Designer software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR). Why Choose Us?
