Company: enGen Job Description: JOB SUMMARY CANDIDATE MUST BE US Citizen (due to contractual/access requirements) This role is essential in our dynamic team, tasked with supporting the design, development, and maintenance of advanced technical solutions to ensure their optimal, reliable performance. You will oversee the daily operations of the Starburst Enterprise Platform (SEP), which involves the installation, configuration, optimization, upgrades, and continuous support of the platform, both on-premises and within the Google Cloud Platform. Collaborative efforts with other technical professionals, analysts, and engineers will be crucial as you build and enhance solutions that ensure quality, integrity, and performance. We seek a highly adaptable, solution-oriented candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze, design, code, test, and implement technical solutions while providing production monitoring and support, meeting defined scope, timelines, and budgets with minimal defects. Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions that align with organizational objectives. Monitor progress against production schedules, providing regular updates and reporting any technical challenges to leadership. Document technical processes and procedures and engage in technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions. Work on the design and implementation of solutions in line with architecture to ensure alignment with enterprise goals and standards. Perform technical analysis and provide insights to support decision-making across various departments. Stay current with the latest relevant technologies and industry best practices. Execute other duties as assigned or requested. EXPERIENCE Required At least 3 years of experience in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions, alongside general production support, successfully meeting defined scope, timelines, and budgets. A minimum of 3 years in technical problem-solving, solution implementation, and team/project collaboration. Expertise in basic computer science concepts, common operating systems, development languages, and scripting for at least 3 years. Preferred 3-5 years experience with software implementation for containerized applications using Red Hat Openshift, Kubernetes, or GKE. 3-5 years managing software applications using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) techniques and tools such as Gitlab, Terraform, Ansible, Helm Charts, .yaml code, and config properties. 3-5 years experience in role-based authentication using LDAP, OAuth, and Role-Based Access Control. 3-5 years in monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting software in a distributed environment. 3-5 years in Linux system administration with proven ability to operate within the Linux OS for software installation and configuration. 3-5 years familiarity with the Google Cloud Platform and its associated services including Cloud Run, Google Secrets Manager, Cloud Networking, Google Cloud Storage, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Cloud SQL (Postgres). Experience in securely managing sensitive data, including API keys, passwords, and certificates using Google Secrets Manager or CyberArk Conjur. Strong SQL skills with the ability to optimize code by analyzing query plans and identifying bottlenecks. Training on the Starburst toolset will be provided as needed using on-demand or classroom training. SKILLS Proven ability to achieve challenging goals in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Adaptability in taking on diverse tasks and projects responding to the evolving needs of the organization. Analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy. Eagerness to learn new technologies as needed. Comfortable with various data tools and technologies, and willingness to learn new skills as necessary. Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale technical solutions. Demonstrated sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. Passion for improving user experience and usability. Team collaboration skills as a dedicated team player able to work effectively across functions. EDUCATION Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or relevant experience/education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree. Preferred Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
