Senior EHS Manager

As the site’s safety facilitator, you will manage Amazon's Global WHS Program with commitment and ambition. Partnering with Operations leadership, you will integrate safety into daily operations, employing data-driven insights to innovate and reduce risks while enhancing productivity. Your skills in building trust, driving change, and getting results will be pivotal as you conduct thorough risk assessments and translate safety data into actionable strategies. Leadership will play a crucial role in your responsibilities. You will develop a high-performing team of WHS professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Core Impact Areas: Safety Leadership & Innovation: Transform safety culture through impactful leadership and innovative strategies. Drive initiatives that set new safety benchmarks, leveraging technology and data analytics to implement preventive measures that protect our associates and promote operational excellence. Strategic Partnership & Influence: Cultivate strong partnerships with Operations leadership to seamlessly integrate safety into all business aspects. Utilize compelling data analysis and risk insights to inspire positive change and inform strategic decisions. Additional Job Elements include: Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts. Work in an environment with varying noise levels. Work in conditions subject to changing temperatures and weather, including outdoor loading areas. Continuously climb and descend stairs (if applicable). Maintain effective emergency care and assist in emergency response at the site. Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must be obtained within 3 weeks of your start date. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of progressive responsibility in EHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations. 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management. Experience implementing lean principles and process improvements in operational settings. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EHS experience in Distribution Centers or Manufacturing with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees in a site of at least 250 individuals. Master's degree. Experience in fast-paced, dynamic organizations. Certified Safety Professional designation. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating confidence when interfacing with site leaders. Proven ability to develop and implement departmental goals and strategies. Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated problem-solving ability.
