ScheduleNight shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown Unit. This unit provides care for patients with common diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation, general medical surgical, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues. The unit consists of 64 beds, focusing on adult patient demographics. ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans. Additional responsibilities include floating to other units as required and utilizing specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing, specifically in stroke stepdown care. Evidence of travel nursing experience. Two recent references from previous roles as Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager. Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS can be obtained before start).
