Key Responsibilities: Lead efforts to enhance our AI agent's multimodal perception and reasoning capabilities through applied research. Engage in model training, dataset design, and optimization before and after training. Collaborate across teams, sharing insights and innovations to propel our projects forward. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in building machine learning models. PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or JAX. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong background in scientific research and a proven track record of generating innovative ideas in machine learning. Experience in the post-training processes of large Vision Language Models (VLMs). A proactive attitude in taking on diverse tasks, including coding, designing experiments, and interpreting results. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex results to both technical and non-technical audiences. A visionary mindset to explore the future development arc of AI and identifying real-world applications for our technologies. Experience in mentoring junior scientists and engineers, contributing to the team’s overall growth and expertise. Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The compensation for this role ranges from $255,000 to $345,000 per year, influenced by geographic location, skills, and experience.
