Telemetry RN - Schertz, TX

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in telemetry nursing to provide comprehensive care in a dynamic hospital setting. This role involves working primarily on rehabilitation, surgical, and respiratory floors, delivering patient-centered treatment to a diverse census of patients requiring specialized attention. The ideal candidate will be proficient in clinical nursing practices, demonstrating independent judgment and the ability to manage complex care situations. Experience with electronic health records, particularly Epic, and familiarity with respiratory support equipment such as tracheostomy, ventilators, and high-flow oxygen devices are advantageous. While rehab experience is helpful, it is not mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Provide skilled nursing care aligned with ANA Scope and Standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families with sensitivity. Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects. Document patient assessments, treatments, and education accurately. Evaluate patient learning needs, providing appropriate education and resources. Demonstrate leadership by managing clinical assignments and collaborating with the healthcare team. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum one year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in Texas or a compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required. Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts.
