Inspired people, amazing designs, and projects with purpose./ppAs an Associate Project Manager within our Utility Coordination group, you will lead and participate in a variety of project management activities that ensure the successful completion of project deliverables for complex and high-priority projects. This position would be embedded with an Olsson client and would be directly responsible for managing utility coordination for assigned projects. This position would also manage consultants that provide utility coordination support services to the client. The ideal candidate will have connectivity and prior experience with Class I Railroads and DOTs./ppPrimary responsibilities include:/pulliAbility to review, interpret, and understand technical plan sets and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) reports and findings./liliAbility to identify utility conflicts as it relates to clients project./liliAbility to work with various utility contacts in order to relocate or protect utilities within the timeline and budget set by client./liliWhen needed, act as a liaison between our clients utility coordination group and other project stakeholders./liliCapable of receiving constructive feedback and participating in continuously improving competencies and efficiencies./liliParticipate in the reporting efforts related to project status, submittals, resolutions, and management all financial aspects related to assigned projects./liliMonitors progress and measures project performance, ensuring deliverable align with established scope, schedule, and budget./liliCoordination with external subconsultants to complete all aspects of project deliverables./liliDevelop and maintain professional relationships with a focus on exceptional client service to secure future work./liliAdheres to regulations and enforces safety standards./liliTravel to job sites with clients and other stakeholders will be required (estimated up to 25% travel time per week)./liliQualified candidates must have a valid drivers license and ability to comply with Olssons motor vehicle policies./li/ulpYou are passionate about:/pulliWorking collaboratively with others./liliHaving ownership in the work you do./liliUsing your talents to positively affect communities./li/ulpYou bring to the team:/pulliStrong communication skills./liliAbility to contribute and work well on a team./liliBachelors degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent and/or related work experience./liliProven experience in utility coordination or a similar role./liliAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budgets and deadlines./liliStrong understanding of a construction processes and utility infrastructure./liliExcellent client service orientation, communication, presentation, and negotiating skills./liliSolid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to complex problems./liliDetailed understanding of how the firm operates as a consulting business and committed to driving the organization towards success./liliValid drivers license and a good driving history./liliAbility to obtain E-Rail safe certification./liliWillingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required./li/ulpOlsson is a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm specializing in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, and technology.
