Position Summary As the Admissions and Community Outreach Director, you will play a crucial role in the nursing home placement process for patients and residents. This includes collaborating with physicians, hospitals, and the community to promote our services effectively. Your key responsibilities will involve maintaining occupancy goals, adhering to policies and procedures, and conducting pre-admission assessments in various healthcare settings. Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities Build and nurture relationships with case managers, social workers, clinicians, and community influencers to enhance patient intake. Identify, develop, and maintain referral sources to increase qualified patient referrals. Gain a comprehensive understanding of campus programs and services to effectively communicate our clinical capabilities. Lead all inquiries, working closely with the Admissions team during pre-admission assessments. Conduct onsite visits promptly after inquiries, ideally on the same day or within 24 hours. Communicate care plans to hospital case managers at discharge effectively. Actively engage in developing marketing strategies to discover new patient referral sources. Participate in community events and special marketing initiatives to increase awareness. Be available for admissions on call, 24/7, and respond appropriately. Report and present updates on admissions to community leaders and market trends. Communicate bed availability and facilitate patient placements with hospitals and the public. Provide tours for prospective residents, families, and referral sources. Respond to inquiries from families and caregivers over the phone. Prepare admission documentation in alignment with established policies. Conduct interviews with residents and caregivers to obtain necessary information. Compile pre-admission documents and maintain accurate records. Explain room rates, billing, and care procedures to residents and their guardians. Keep accurate registries for admissions and discharges. Maintain confidentiality of resident and community information. Cultivate a good working rapport with inter-department personnel. Attend staff meetings and stay updated on communications and procedures. Stay informed about current Medicare/Medicaid regulations affecting admissions. Adhere to safety and health policies, ensuring a neat and hazard-free work environment. Understand the financial status of the organization and make adjustments where appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and procedures and updates. Position Requirements Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's in Marketing or Business related field preferred. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of sales and marketing experience in healthcare is required; experience in Senior Housing is preferred. Skills & Abilities: Ability to demonstrate professionalism and create an excellent first impression of the organization. Travel: Moderate local travel required for marketing and special events. #LivingJoyfully Min: USD $85,000.00/Yr. Max: USD $95,000.00/Yr.
