Role Overview We are excited to welcome a dedicated Case Underwriting Specialist to our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate underwriting decisions that align with our pricing and profit objectives. Your collaboration with the Sales team will be essential in maximizing opportunities for new business while also maintaining existing relationships. Staying informed about our administrative processes and capabilities will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and make informed underwriting decisions for your designated territory, honing your skills under the guidance of a manager or experienced underwriter. Once fully proficient, your underwriting authority will extend to a maximum of 5,000 life cases or $500,000 of annualized premium. Assess enrollment and participation trends within your territory, providing actionable recommendations to optimize sales while minimizing risks. Provide monthly updates on sold case successes and challenges related to access and participation for Guarantee Issue cases. Engage proactively with questions and discussions to deepen your understanding of our products and procedures, fostering strong relationships with Implementation Managers. Evaluate non-standard broker arrangements and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of enrollment companies. Identify crucial elements for successful enrollments and make strategic recommendations that deliver added value. Collaborate with reinsurers on cases requiring facultative review. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree or 2-4 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma or GED accompanied by 4-6 years of related experience. The compensation range for this role is $61,412.00 - $88,706.00 annually. The final salary will depend on various factors, including location, qualifications, and experience.
