Network Security Specialist

As a Network Security Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the security of our enterprise network. This hands-on position involves overseeing the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our firewall and network security systems. Conduct upgrades and updates to firewall systems. Respond swiftly to security incidents, ensuring prompt resolution. Manage and address service tickets effectively to maintain workflow. Collaborate with internal and external teams to guarantee the stability, integrity, and security of our network. Identify and analyze additional application security tools, providing insightful recommendations to enhance security protocols. Perform penetration tests, along with manual and automated code reviews to ensure optimal security measures are in place. Design and develop integrated system solutions that protect proprietary data and ensure confidentiality. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related Technical discipline, with a Master's Degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in a Network Security Engineer role or similar capacity. A current TS or Q clearance is a plus. Other Required Skills A proactive approach to problem-solving. In-depth technical proficiency in Palo Alto Networks firewalls. Strong knowledge of enterprise network environments. Expertise in Palo Alto Networks Firewall Operations. Experience in Security Operations Management. Understanding of networking fundamentals. Familiarity with proxy and web security. Experience with incident and service management. Knowledgeable in VPN technologies. Compensation Ranges Compensation for positions with ASM Research varies based on factors such as location, skills, education, certifications, client needs, and years of experience. The salary for this role typically ranges from $96,300 to $170,000, and is just one part of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package.
