About the Role Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of our plant operations. You will perform essential tasks related to preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, inspection, building upkeep, and special projects. Your contributions will help us uphold our commitment to Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR) while supporting our Customer 1st strategy. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate leadership qualities and embody our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles, as well as the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems within the facility. Utilize machine tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines, for repairs and part fabrication. Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement repairs to ensure peak efficiency. Complete both scheduled work orders and unexpected maintenance tasks. Keep the maintenance area clean and organized. Manage maintenance systems to fulfill daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. Safely operate material handling equipment. Document work order progress and completion accurately. Support predictive and preventative maintenance efforts across the team. Engage with plant initiatives aimed at minimizing downtime and optimizing performance. Adhere to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. Follow established safety and quality protocols while producing food products. Be accountable for Kroger’s Food Safety and Quality Principles. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Willingness to work in an environment with food allergens. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Proficient mechanical knowledge in areas such as electrical systems, welding and fabrication, utilities, and basic PLCs. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to respond quickly during periods of equipment downtime. Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated with strong organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong planning and prioritization capabilities. Effective oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Prior experience in food manufacturing with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or relevant technical training/certification.
