eCommerce Platform Architect / Tech Lead (Magento)

CMK Resources is partnering with a growing Michigan-based company to hire an eCommerce Technical Leader who will take ownership of their Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform. This role is less about writing code every day (though the ability to review and guide development is important) and more about leading the platform, the team, and the delivery. You will work directly with the CTO and executive leadership to improve how the platform is built, maintained, and scaled while mentoring developers and guiding architectural decisions. What makes this role interesting High visibility with executive leadership Real ownership of the ecommerce platform and roadmap Opportunity to lead developers and shape engineering standards Influence platform architecture and delivery practices Company is expanding through acquisitions and investing heavily in ecommerce What we're looking for Strong experience with Magento / Adobe Commerce or similar PHP-based ecommerce platforms Experience leading developers or technical teams Solid understanding of ecommerce architecture, integrations, and platform scalability Someone who can drive accountability, delivery discipline, and technical quality Ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and business leadership Nice to have: Exposure to AI or emerging technologies as they relate to ecommerce or Adobe Commerce Location Hybrid role in Metro Detroit. For the right candidate, remote may be considered with periodic travel.
