Assignment Details - Senior IT Software Development Test Engineer Duration: Approximately 12-month contract Work Location: 100% Remote (Candidates must be able to work Eastern Time (ET) hours) Work Schedule: Expected to work within standard business hours and not exceed 40 hours per week Rate: $68.57/hr on W2 We are seeking a Senior System Test Engineer for a contractor assignment within the Applications Development Performance Engineering Team, part of the Enterprise Development Capabilities & Services (EDCS) organization. This team provides application performance testing and engineering support across the enterprise application development platform within the IT department. In this role, the selected candidate will collaborate with multiple application development teams to ensure that applications are thoroughly performance-tested and meet enterprise performance standards. Please note that this role is not limited to basic automation execution. The ideal candidate must be able to evaluate testing requirements, select appropriate tools and frameworks, and define the scope of performance testing efforts. Candidates should therefore have hands-on experience with programming languages, scripting, and test automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain performance test plans Create and maintain performance test scripts Execute performance tests and analyze performance results Deliver reports and insights based on testing outcomes Collaborate with project teams to interpret results and recommend performance improvements Required Skills Strong test automation expertise Experience in test plan preparation and test result analysis Knowledge of programming languages such as C# / .NET Understanding of software development concepts within large IT environments Experience with NeoLoad, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, FitNesse, or similar test automation tools Preferred Skills Hands-on performance testing experience Knowledge of Java, Perl, Python, or Ruby Experience with CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies Mainframe and DB2 knowledge is a strong plus In-depth understanding of testing methodologies, performance testing tools (e.g., ALM), and industry testing practices If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
