As a Government Programs Finance Specialist, you'll be more than just a numbers analyst - you'll be a trusted partner to program leaders, helping guide critical decisions to ensure projects remain on track, compliant, and mission-focused. This position will follow a hybrid work schedule out of our San Diego, CA location, with potential for full-time teleworking depending on the selected candidate. In this role, you will: Oversee the financial health of assigned government contracts from award to closeout, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency. Collaborate with program managers to forecast, budget, and track performance across various contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP). Utilize your knowledge of FAR to ensure meticulous management of every dollar in compliance with federal regulations. Provide insightful financial reports, variance analyses, and actionable recommendations on a monthly basis. Support business growth through contributions to proposal pricing, cost volumes, and contract modifications. Work cross-functionally with contracts, procurement, and leadership to identify solutions and seize opportunities. To be successful in this role you will have: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (an advanced degree or CPA/CFA is a plus). At least 5 years of experience in program finance within a government contracting environment. Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and revenue recognition principles. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems, such as Deltek Costpoint. A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
