The Surveys and Observational Studies practice focuses on collaborative, methodologically sound real-world evidence (RWE) studies that inform clinical development plans and validate the value and safety of marketed products. This function is part of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research group, encompassing Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment, Health Preference Assessment, and more. Currently, we are on the lookout for a Project Leader to spearhead the execution of RWE and observational research studies, which may include prospective and retrospective studies, surveys, registries, and analyses utilizing real-world data. This role involves close collaboration with senior project leaders and scientific staff to manage day-to-day study operations while ensuring adherence to scientific, regulatory, and quality standards. What You'll Do Project Management & Execution Lead or co-lead the planning and execution of RWE and observational research studies across therapeutic areas. Own project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using effective project management methodologies. Monitor scope, schedule, and budget while identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies. Escalate issues appropriately and contribute to collaborative solutions with senior leadership. Study Operations & Documentation Develop, review, and maintain essential study documentation, including protocols and progress reports. Ensure compliance with study protocols, data quality, and regulatory requirements. Support real-world data collection activities, encompassing surveys, chart reviews, and registries. Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination Coordinate internal teams (data management, biostatistics, quality, finance) to ensure seamless project execution. Manage relationships with external partners and vendors (data providers, survey vendors, clinical sites). Track vendor performance and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Oversee client communications, prepare for meetings, and provide status updates. Lead client meetings and support relationship management to foster client satisfaction. Collaborate on proposal development and business growth initiatives as needed. Scientific Contribution & Dissemination Contribute to the creation of study reports, manuscripts, and other dissemination materials. Support applied research, including interpreting results and crafting evidence narratives. Innovation & Growth Assist in executing low-interventional, digitally-enabled studies using AI-informed methodologies. Mentor junior staff members and support ongoing team development. What You'll Need Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, health sciences, or a related field. 6 years of experience in real-world evidence, observational research, or health research studies. Proven experience managing research projects, including timelines and deliverables. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of observational study designs and real-world data sources. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle concurrent projects under tight deadlines. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Experience leading cross-functional teams successfully. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing deliverables. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with project tracking tools is advantageous. A keen interest in evolving into a full project leadership role. Our anticipated pay range for this role is $125,000.00 - $153,000.00, influenced by factors such as experience and internal equity.
