Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - PRN

Hours of Work : Variable/Rotating/On Call Days Of Week : Variable/Rotating/On Call Work Shift : PRN (United States of America) Job Description : Join Our Caring Team The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) plays a crucial role in providing compassionate, non-judgmental care to victims of sexual assault. As a SANE, you will conduct medical-forensic exams, provide prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, document findings through photography, and refer patients for medical and psychological follow-up. You will also have the opportunity to support victims through legal proceedings. Job Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing—BSN preferred. Licenses and/or Certifications: Valid and Current Texas RN license. Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the Texas Attorney General office or pursuing certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire). Current TNCC certification. Work Experience: Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care Experience preferred.
