Responsibilities As a Commercial Insurance Account Manager focused on small business clients, you will be crucial in managing a portfolio of commercial lines accounts. Your role will include offering top-notch service to our commercial clients and ensuring high customer retention. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Rate and quote renewal Commercial Lines risks. Evaluate, place, and approve Commercial Lines applications. Review applications and endorsements to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines. Prepare ID cards for auto clients as needed. Initiate and manage endorsement requests for Commercial Lines. Handle telephone requests, including mortgagee requests and certificates. Authorize cancellation requests in adherence to company policies. Calculate endorsements, cancellations, additional, or return premiums. Review policies and endorsements for accuracy. Initiate premium finance contracts when required. Report and maintain claim files for clients as necessary. Develop summaries and proposals of insurance for existing accounts. Prepare bonds, endorsements, and cancellations timely. Utilize Agency Management System and relevant software effectively. Demonstrate proficiency in various insurance coverages and policies. Authorize binding of coverage within the limits set by the carrier. Communicate with carriers and producers as necessary. Maintain updated client files and contact clients regularly. Fulfill any additional duties as necessary. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: To excel in this position, you must successfully perform each of the essential duties outlined. The following skills and experiences are preferred: High School Diploma. Must be at least 18 years of age. Certifications/Licenses: Property/Casualty License required. If licensed, keep your Agent/Broker License current through Continuing Education. Professional designation maintenance or pursuit is encouraged. Experience/Skills: Minimum of 3 years of insurance experience required. Demonstrated customer service experience. Proficient in using software tools, including menu-driven systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent organizational skills. Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record are necessary. Job Information Hours: 40 hours a week Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, with potential for annual merit increases.
