This position offers a contract assignment with a 12-hour PM shift schedule covering every other weekend and holiday. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience preferred RN license in good standing and BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications required Comfortable floating to similar or lower acuity units and between multiple hospitals as needed Dysrhythmia exam required at orientation (study materials provided) Ability to care for critically ill patients with multi-system organ failure and complex devices such as CRRT, invasive cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, and ventilators Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt to changing patient conditions No local candidates accepted (within 50 miles) Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care consistent with critical care nursing standards Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement individualized care plans Administer medications and manage life-support technologies including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and family communication Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety standards Assist with invasive procedures and manage complex medical equipment Advocate for patient dignity and support coping for patients and families Schedule / Hours: 12-hour PM shifts Every other weekend and holiday coverage This contract position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a dynamic critical care environment and values professional growth through hands-on experience with advanced modalities.
