We are looking for an expert Data Engineer with a strong track record in securely and accurately migrating data from legacy ERP systems like QuickBooks and Sage to NetSuite. Ideal Candidate Experience: ERP Data Migration: Lead comprehensive migrations with practical experience in data extraction, transformation, mapping, and validation from legacy systems to NetSuite. Technical Skills: Leverage your deep understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and data quality principles to ensure integrity throughout the migration lifecycle. You should be comfortable in building and executing complex data manipulation workflows. Data Strategy & Hygiene: Provide insight on data governance, conduct quality assessments, and establish effective migration plans. You will also identify cleansing needs and develop strategies for data hygiene. Collaboration: Work seamlessly with business analysts, functional consultants, and clients to clarify requirements, mitigate migration obstacles, and enable smooth integrations. Client-Centric Approach: Ensure customers are supported through the entire migration process, from clear communication about migration practices to offering training and ensuring a satisfactory post-migration experience. Data Integrity & Security: Maintain compliance with enterprise data governance and security standards during all migration activities. Key Responsibilities: Design & Analyze: Analyze source systems (QuickBooks, Sage, and others) to develop comprehensive data migration strategies, focusing on accurate field mapping and seamless integration. Data Extraction & Transformation: Execute detailed data extractions and perform advanced transformations to align with NetSuite data models, including the development of custom scripts for diverse data formats. ETL Process Development: Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines to manage large-scale datasets, ensuring performance and reliability. Data Quality Assurance: Conduct data cleansing and validation to ensure quality and integrity, addressing issues like duplicates and inconsistencies. Monitor Migration: Proactively identify and resolve migration discrepancies through thorough data reconciliation. Documentation: Document migration procedures and mappings, adhering to data security standards at all times. Support Cutover & Post-Migration: Assist with cutover planning, data validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to guarantee successful transitions. Data Strategy & Advisory: Conduct thorough data quality assessments to identify issues in source systems. Develop Migration Strategies: Create tailored migration plans that include phased approaches and risk management. Advise on Data Governance: Provide strategic guidance on data management and governance best practices. Ensure clarity during the pre-migration phase regarding complexity and data readiness. Customer Support: Onboarding Clients: Help clients navigate the migration journey, setting clear expectations and addressing any concerns. Coordinate Projects: Keep projects on-track regarding timeline, scope, and budget. User Training: Educate clients on data management best practices post-migration. Post-Migration Support: Offer assistance and support to clients as they adapt to their new NetSuite environment. Collaboration & Communication: Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with various internal teams to ensure seamless migration execution. Effective Communication: Translate complex data migration concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders. Develop Customer Resources: Create documentation and training materials to enhance customer understanding of NetSuite. Continuous Improvement: Identify efficiencies within migration methodologies and contribute to process optimization. Maintain detailed records of migration processes and lessons learned for ongoing team knowledge. Gather and implement client feedback to refine future processes. Required Skills & Qualifications: ERP Data Migration Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with data migrations in ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and others. NetSuite Knowledge: Deep understanding of NetSuite data structures and migration tools. SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills, including experience with PL/SQL and data manipulation through scripting languages like Python. ETL Tools: Practical knowledge of ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator or Talend. Data Governance: Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices. Security & Compliance: Understanding of data security and compliance standards like GDPR and CCPA. Please note that certain US customer or client-facing roles may require compliance with applicable health mandates. The role offers a competitive salary range of $87,000 to $178,100 annually, subject to factors such as experience and market conditions.
