Job Summary The Production Scheduling Specialist will generate timely and precise production schedules that detail the types and amounts of products needed to meet projected demand. Utilizing historical data, current trends, and inputs from the ZOLL Chelmsford MPS and S&OP processes, this role will ensure efficient production planning aligned with manufacturing capacity. Essential Functions Forecast and schedule production efficiently. Collaborate with production, supply chain purchasing, inventory management, and manufacturing engineering teams to address capacity, material shortages, and validation needs. Analyze historical and forecasted sales to develop the Master Production Schedule. Create, communicate, and refine production schedules based on feedback. Maintain accurate data to support scheduling processes. Align demand and supply in the short term to meet customer requirements efficiently. Implement and maintain scheduling policies for stability and responsiveness. Identify and resolve potential supply and demand conflicts. Use simulations to evaluate proposed changes to the Master Production Schedule. Recommend disposition strategies for obsolete or slow-moving inventories. Engage with Manufacturing Engineering in structuring Bills of Material. Participate in the S&OP process. Track and report on master production planning metrics. Create work orders supporting production schedules. Produce effective schedules promoting efficient production and reducing interruptions. Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve any quality or delivery concerns. Communicate production lead times and forecasted delivery dates regularly. Monitor actual production against the plan and adjust schedules as necessary. Required/Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a relevant technical field preferred. 5 - 10 years of experience in Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control is required. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education. APICS Certification is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and planning processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in computerized materials control and integrated ERP systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Languages English - Advanced proficiency. Travel Requirements Minimal travel required, with occasional visits to other facilities for meetings and training. Physical Demands Constant standing, walking, and lifting. Occasional sitting and talking. Constant eye/hand/foot coordination. Working Conditions Occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise. The annual salary for this position is $100,000.00 to $115,000.00, with eligibility for an annual bonus as per the company's bonus plan.
