Job Description Summary: As an Advanced Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining equipment, machinery, structures, and grounds through proactive and preventive maintenance. This position is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Perform general repairs to various types of equipment. Install and repair electrical apparatus, including transformers, lights, outlets, circuit breakers, wiring, and electronic components under proper supervision. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and cleaning equipment. Engage in building maintenance activities including painting, plastering, plumbing, and carpentry. Inspect and maintain material handling batteries, changing equipment, and conveying systems. Assist skilled personnel in the assembly, disassembly, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems along with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Support skilled maintenance team members in repairing or replacing gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and similar equipment. Collaborate with skilled team members in preventive maintenance of equipment, electrical systems, and structures, utilizing blueprints and manuals while adhering to safety standards. Help troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and machinery malfunctions. Ensure proper storage of hazardous materials used within the Maintenance Department after use. QUALIFICATIONS: To successfully perform this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. Familiarity with conveyor systems, security controls, fire protection, HVAC, lighting, and related equipment. Basic knowledge of hand, power, and shop tools. Ability to read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Follow all safety rules and regulations, wearing personal protective equipment when necessary. Proficient in maintenance management software for parts procurement and work order generation. Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills. Willingness to work various shifts, departments, and locations as needed. Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; at least one year of maintenance experience in a distribution center or industrial setting preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, with occasional high levels. COMPENSATION RANGE: The estimated hourly pay for this role ranges from $24.25 to $32.50, based on location, experience, and relevant skill sets.
