The Digital Platforms team is pivotal in implementing and modernizing business applications related to Human Resources and Finance, supporting laboratory operations. We are seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to lead these initiatives, ensuring successful completion through complex cross-functional projects and collaboration with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead large-scale projects with complexity and strategic impact, collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Promote project management best practices and Agile methodologies to drive successful outcomes. Engage with Digital Platform Managers to align on business and technical goals. Collaborate with Change Management to ensure effective implementation and adoption of solutions. Foster continuous improvement through feedback from Laboratory staff and leadership. Guide and mentor Agile delivery team members and peer Project Managers. Oversee project plans, team cohesion, risk identification, and champion ongoing improvement. Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, managing multiple initiatives. Monitor interdependencies across digital platforms and assist in maintaining team metrics. Assess and mitigate risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Build trusted partnerships with leadership to address challenges and escalations. Manage project budgets and performance to ensure accountability and success. Required Skills: Proven experience managing multiple complex projects, particularly in ERP business transformation. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders. Extensive leadership experience in managing large and complex projects. Strong ability to negotiate scope and priorities between stakeholders. Customer-focused with skills to interpret and analyze requirements. Knowledge of Agile practices and their application in project management. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA with 9+ years of relevant project management experience in a government or federally funded environment -OR- MS/MA or higher with 7+ years of relevant project management experience in a government or federally funded environment. Preferred Qualifications: History of successful ERP and/or business transformation implementations. 5+ years of experience managing software projects using Agile methodologies in a high-tech environment. Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle models and project management practices. Additional Information This is a full-time project hire position expected to last approximately 24 months, potentially extending until May 2028. U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to sensitive systems. PNNL is located in eastern Washington State, known for its outdoor recreation and affordable living, just a short flight or drive from Seattle or Portland.
