Join Zurich as a Senior Construction Liability Underwriter, where you will play a pivotal role in our Specialties Construction team. We welcome candidates from any Zurich office along with remote opportunities, depending on the Hiring Manager's discretion. In this influential position, you will manage complex new and renewal Domestic Construction Liability accounts, serving as a Subject Matter Expert. Your expertise in underwriting and marketing will be essential in building strong relationships with Select Brokers across the United States. Key Responsibilities: Administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines, and relevant insurance laws and regulations. Collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and business-related needs. Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues. Cultivate and maintain relationships with agents and brokers to foster business retention and growth. Engage actively with agents, brokers, and customers to identify their insurance needs and propose tailored solutions. Champion a sales culture by being a valuable resource for agents, brokers, and clients. Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities. Conduct thorough opportunity assessments with key distributors to identify growth prospects. Evaluate accounts to ensure alignment with organizational appetite while making informed business decisions. Prepare and conduct well-planned broker/customer visits and on-site calls with clear objectives. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles, or 10+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles, or 8+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience managing time-sensitive quotes for new and renewal business. Strong team collaboration experience. For AVP, Underwriting Director Level: High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 7 years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles, or 14+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 5+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles, or 12+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. Technical expertise in Construction Professional Liability Underwriting. Established relationships with retail brokers. Sales-oriented mindset. Creative problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Your compensation at Zurich will reflect your role, location, skills, and experience. The pay range for this position is $98,500.00 - $215,000.00, with specific ranges for the Executive Underwriter ($98,500.00 - $165,000.00) and AVP, Underwriter Director ($130,000.00 - $215,000.00), including eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
