Lead Volunteer Educator

Overview As a Lead Volunteer Educator, you will not only fulfill your role as an educator but also play a crucial part in the leadership team by assisting the program director with the recruitment, training, and management of fellow educators in the LifeWise program. Qualifications and Experience At least two years of experience teaching in a classroom, whether in a school or church environment. A strong and mature Christian faith that aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith. Active involvement and commitment to a local church that supports the doctrines described in the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith. Job Responsibilities Plan Curriculum Identify the LifeWise lessons to be taught throughout each academic year. Ensure all educators and classes uphold consistent expectations, processes, and the mission of LifeWise. Collaborate with the program director to equip teachers with curriculum resources and supplemental materials. Train and Support Educators Organize an initial training day for educators at the beginning of each school year. Facilitate regular meetings to uphold consistency in educational strategies and expectations. Assist the program director in evaluating teacher performance. Act as a liaison by attending virtual and in-person training opportunities for educators offered by the LifeWise Support Center. Encourage educator participation in the annual LifeWise Summit. Manage Records Create and manage classroom schedules while coordinating any necessary adjustments with staff. Maintain accurate class rosters, including noting health concerns and special needs as indicated on parent permission slips. Support the program director in developing and managing program policies and procedures. Communicate Effectively Represent LifeWise educators at Leadership Board meetings. Regularly visit classes to offer support and motivation. Develop relationships with volunteers, keeping them informed of any schedule changes. Provide regular updates, stories, and photos to the program director. Additional Responsibilities Assist the program director with various responsibilities as needed.
