Department/Unit: Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist - D4N Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Salary Range: $88,192.00 - $136,697.60 As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to patients in their journey toward recovery. You will assess, coordinate, plan, and implement patient care, focusing on achieving successful discharge outcomes. You will manage the delivery of care through effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include: Implementing physician orders and administering medications, including starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care in compliance with company policies and regulations. Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions accurately. Conducting thorough assessments to determine patient needs and responses to care. Utilizing sound nursing judgment for effective patient management decisions. Providing emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Collaborating with nursing staff to develop an individualized Plan of Care for patients. Leading and mentoring ancillary personnel while upholding high professional nursing standards. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree). Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is essential. Previous experience as a PCA or in a nursing assistant role is preferred. Commitment to ongoing professional development and education. Understanding of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques to contribute to patient care quality improvement. Unit Description: The Medical Cardiology unit is a 29-bed facility featuring various room configurations, including 1 private and 13 semi-private rooms. Patients typically come from the Emergency Department, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and other critical areas when they require inpatient care. Here, we serve a diverse patient population, ranging from young adults (18 years) to geriatric patients (100+ years) facing acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
