Join Our Team! We invite you to be a part of ENERCON's Nuclear Services Group as a Senior Digital Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer/Specialist. Take the lead in transforming critical infrastructure by advancing from analog to cutting-edge computer-based I&C systems. Available Locations: Kennesaw, GA Chicago, IL Naperville, IL Chattanooga, TN Charlotte, NC Baton Rouge, LA Birmingham, AL Palm Beach Gardens, FL King of Prussia, PA Overland Park, KS Key Responsibilities: Engineering Change Package (ECP) Development: Create Engineering Change Packages to modernize obsolete analog I&C systems into advanced computer-based systems. This includes documenting system specifications, layouts, wiring diagrams, part lists, and more. Testing & Analysis: Develop comprehensive test plans and instructions, conduct analyses including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), reliability assessments, and instrument performance evaluations. System Design & Procurement: Define specifications and functional needs for computer-based I&C systems, reviewing technical documentation from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Project Support & Collaboration: Work with the Project Management team to provide estimates for budgets and schedules, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and clients through active participation in project meetings. Regulatory & Standards Compliance: Become adept in the regulatory requirements and industry codes applicable to digital I&C systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field. At least 6 years of I&C engineering experience, with a focus on computer-based platforms in the nuclear sector. Experience in drafting test plans and instructions. Hands-on experience with designing, installing, and testing large-scale digital control system upgrades. Familiarity with the complete life cycle of digital upgrades, including feasibility studies, specification development, and compliance with regulatory standards. Knowledge of digital hardware and software components typically utilized in I&C platforms. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to handle multiple projects while effectively collaborating with diverse teams. Willingness to travel 15-25% of the time, with varying durations based on project requirements. Compensation: The salary range for this position is USD $102,400.00 - USD $180,000.00 per year.
