Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:RN - Med Surg Job Details:• Work on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit with diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients• Fast-paced, challenging environment with excellent learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses• Every other weekend schedule required• No on-call responsibilities• 2+ years of Medical Surgical experience required• Travel experience preferred• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification• BLS (AHA) certification required• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized patient care plans• Provide patient-centered care focused on safety and quality outcomes• Participate in evidence-based and holistic nursing practices• Engage with Unit Based Council for shared governance and healthy work environment• Utilize clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication• Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships and SBAR• Support new team members during orientation and professional development Facility:This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility featuring a well-established Medical Surgical Unit that emphasizes patient-centered care and quality outcomes.
