At The Hartford, we believe in going beyond traditional insurance services to provide exceptional value to our clients, and we’re excited to expand our Risk Engineering Property Team. This role will be pivotal in supporting the growth of our Large Property Unit, reporting directly to the Managing Director for Large Property in the Risk Engineering Organization. You will play a vital role in deploying underwriting and risk engineering practices specifically for the Property Line of Business. This position can offer flexibility with a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Underwriting, Claims, and Business Partners, including Clients and Brokers. Independently manage large or complex client accounts, performing desktop reviews and risk assessments to evaluate exposures and controls. Collaborate with Underwriting, clients, and brokers to design customized Risk Engineering programs tailored to specific client needs. Create and implement Account Servicing instructions to optimize Risk Engineering services offered and develop comprehensive year-end summaries for both the underwriting team and clients. Assess and prioritize reports and recommendations from Property Specialists and Risk Engineering Field Consultants. Qualifications: A BA/BS degree in Engineering or Fire Sciences is preferred; other related fields will be considered with relevant experience in the HPR insurance sector. Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance or a related field is required. Preferred certifications such as CFPS, PE, CSP, or ARM (at least one is desired but not mandatory). Demonstrated expertise in Highly Protected Risk (HPR) is essential. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. A self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple tasks independently with minimal oversight. Compensation: The annualized base pay range for this role is $113,600 - $170,400. The actual base pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and the required competencies for the role. In addition to base pay, The Hartford offers a comprehensive compensation package including short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition rewards.
