Here, we are not just assembling equipment; we are cultivating fulfilling careers with an average employee tenure of 5 to over 11+ years, a testament to our robust culture, growth prospects, and unwavering support. Your New Opportunity: We are excited to announce a new opening in our Pharma Division for a Senior Technical Specialist (STS) focused on Oral Solid Dosage technology, equipment, and processes. If you possess exceptional technical skills and a passion for service, this role is designed to offer you a rewarding career path. You will provide top-tier technical assistance to our Service and Aftermarket Sales Teams, helping with equipment support, service upgrades, spare parts, and hands-on work for new system installations and customer training. Key Responsibilities: Conduct onsite service work, including troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and calibrations to exceed customer expectations. Provide remote support for troubleshooting and process analysis, acting as the primary support for field service teams. Deliver onsite technical support when remote solutions are inadequate, ensuring issues are resolved effectively. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders to enhance end-to-end processes for our customers. Collaborate closely with Aftermarket Sales and Technical Services to analyze service reports and identify additional opportunities for spare parts and upgrades. Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oral Solid Dosage equipment and technologies within our North American operations. Drive training and development initiatives for the Field Service team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed for success. Participate in key account meetings, proactively addressing technical issues and support action items. Oversee parts delivery challenges and customer inquiries, ensuring swift resolutions are achieved. Assist in generating service reports and validating metrics to improve visibility for the Service Management team. Gather business intelligence to uncover customer opportunities and support sales discussions related to upgrades. Support installations and commissioning of new equipment by collaborating with Service Account Managers and Project Managers. Work alongside the Director of Service to strategize on growth objectives and participate in defining future business goals. Engage in additional responsibilities as needed to further our Pharma Service objectives. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering is highly preferred. 10+ years of relevant experience in service and installation within the Pharma OSD sector, recognized as a technical SME. Proven success with Batch, Granulation, and Tablet Press equipment in the pharmaceutical industry. Extensive skills in technical support throughout the equipment lifecycle, from design to aftermarket service. Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical processing equipment and compliance with regulations such as cGMP, ISPE, and USP. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities for effective remote support. OSHA 10 certification is beneficial. Strong analytical capabilities and a customer-oriented approach for quick issue resolution. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate with diverse teams. Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically, including Canada and Puerto Rico. The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $36.00 - $45.00 per hour. GEA Group offers various compensation ranges based on the work location within the United States. Offers may include additional rewards such as discretionary bonuses (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards. Please Note: This position is based in the United States and does not provide visa or work sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
