Intermediate Actuarial Analyst Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The Intermediate Actuarial Analyst plays a crucial role in completing projects and conducting complex actuarial studies that make a significant impact on our business strategies. How You Will Make an Impact: Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting key actuarial functions related to cost of care, analyzing the impact of provider and government regulation changes, and managing special projects. Designing and executing special projects that delve into changes in cost and utilization at the claim level. Educating stakeholders and making recommendations regarding changes in expenses and utilization that impact profitability. Developing, maintaining, and analyzing reporting metrics to support special projects and regularly sharing findings with market and project leadership. Minimum Requirements: A BA/BS degree and successful completion of at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams, along with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation and statistical analysis. Expertise in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and actuarial software tools. Experience working with large administrative claims datasets and healthcare cost/utilization metrics. Ability to apply actuarial judgment and statistical techniques to interpret and explain complex trends. For candidates working in person or virtually, the salaryrange for this specific position is $74,880.00 to $134,784.00.
