Overview Client is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager, Marketing & Selling to lead strategic procurement initiatives across marketing and commercial categories. This role will drive the implementation of category procurement strategies, manage complex sourcing projects, and build strategic partnerships with agencies and marketing vendors. The position plays a key role in delivering value through supplier innovation, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and sustainability initiatives. The Senior Procurement Manager reports to the Agencies and Media Category Lead and collaborates closely with marketing leadership, procurement stakeholders, and external suppliers. Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement Leadership Lead the implementation of category procurement strategies aligned with business objectives. Partner with senior stakeholders to develop annual strategic procurement plans for marketing categories. Provide market intelligence and supplier insights to inform strategic decision-making. Identify opportunities for innovation, value creation, and cost optimization. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation Lead complex sourcing initiatives including RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes. Manage high-value contract negotiations with agencies and marketing vendors. Conduct market analysis and financial assessments to support sourcing strategies. Supplier Relationship Management Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers and agencies. Drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs to foster innovation and collaboration. Monitor supplier performance against KPIs, SLAs, and sustainability goals. Act as an escalation point for strategic suppliers. Stakeholder Engagement Influence senior marketing and commercial stakeholders across the organization. Lead cross-functional procurement projects from strategy development through execution. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Risk, and Sustainability teams to ensure effective procurement processes. Risk, Compliance & Sustainability Implement risk mitigation strategies across the supplier portfolio. Ensure procurement processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Promote environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards across suppliers. Process Optimization & Performance Management Drive continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency gains. Leverage data analytics and spend insights to support strategic decisions. Track procurement performance metrics and report progress toward business goals. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree required Experience Minimum 7+ years of strategic procurement experience Strong experience managing marketing procurement categories, including: Creative agencies Media buying agencies Digital marketing vendors Medical communications or marketing agencies Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries preferred Skills & Competencies Strong strategic sourcing and negotiation expertise Proven ability to manage complex procurement projects Strong supplier relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills Proficiency in procurement and analytics tools such as SAP, Ariba, Power BI, Globality, and Icertis Strong analytical and financial assessment capabilities Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change in a matrix organization Equipment: VDI only - Client will not provide a laptop or equipment Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a seasoned procurement leader with deep expertise in marketing procurement categories and agency management.
