The Medical Strategy Director for Rheumatology and Dermatology is a critical position for shaping strategic planning for early development assets in our Nephrology and Immunology portfolio. This dynamic role requires a proactive and flexible mindset to effectively manage various priorities as we integrate new acquisitions into our growing portfolio. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Immunology Lead, you will be vital in fulfilling our strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Medical Strategy & Narrative: Provide medical expertise to craft the Target Reimbursable Product Profile, ensuring alignment across R&D, Clinical, Global Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams. Review early asset plans for compliance with our overarching Medical Narrative and supply high-quality scientific input. Act as a key scientific advisor, effectively communicating disease mechanisms and translating scientific insights into patient value. Lead planning processes to pinpoint critical data needs within our expanding portfolio. Evidence Generation: Oversee the Medical Evidence Generation Process, translating strategic data gaps into research priorities and guiding trial design and feasibility. Contribute to the execution of Medical Affairs evidence generation activities for early-stage assets. External Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with medical experts to gather insights that enhance our understanding of unmet needs and development opportunities. Create Key Intelligence Topics (KITs) to assist in collecting insights from medical experts. Drive the strategic planning and implementation of Advisory Boards, ensuring alignment with data gap analyses and overall asset strategy. Facilitate meaningful discussions with experts to validate development hypotheses. Support the development of scientific publications, abstracts, and presentations. Cross-functional Integration & Planning: Collaborate closely with the Nephrology & Immunology Medical Business Unit, particularly within Medical Communications and Field Medical Affairs. Serve as a scientific and clinical resource across multiple cross-functional teams, including Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Global Marketing. Assist in the prioritization of indications and planning for early development assets. Explore innovative technologies and AI solutions to enhance workflow efficiency. Qualifications: Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) with expertise in Rheumatology or Dermatology. Previous experience in Clinical Development, Research, or early-stage Medical Affairs is preferred. Demonstrated experience with Evidence Generation and managing Advisory Boards. Skills and Competencies: A proactive, collaborative team player with the agility to adapt scientific strategies as needed. Exceptional communication skills, skilled at engaging diverse stakeholders and articulating complex strategies clearly. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, applying knowledge to Medical Affairs activities effectively. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a proactive approach. Solid understanding of drug development processes, particularly in early-stage development. Compensation: The salary range for this position is $209,599.00 - $313,375.00, along with an incentive opportunity. Actual pay will reflect experience, specific skill sets, and internal comparisons.
