What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each resident. Implement therapy interventions, including compensatory techniques, exercises, and alternative communication strategies. Educate residents, families, and staff on strategies for managing communication and swallowing difficulties. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective care strategies. Monitor residents' progress, adjust treatment plans as required, and document outcomes accurately. Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with regulatory and facility guidelines. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to contribute to the success of the rehabilitation department. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Current and valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Colorado. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation environments is advantageous. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on resident-centered care. Proficiency in documentation and using electronic medical records (EMRs).
