Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute long-term preconstruction strategies for data center projects that resonate with organizational objectives. Stakeholder Communication: Provide ongoing updates to stakeholders, effectively addressing their concerns while educating them on industry standards concerning data center construction. Project Constructability: Oversee the planning and design phases of data center projects, ensuring feasibility, quality, and adherence to budget and schedule. Budget Oversight: Manage preconstruction budgets diligently, ensuring optimal resource utilization while remaining within financial parameters. Innovation and Improvement: Keep abreast of industry developments and technologies, applying innovative approaches to improve performance and sustainability. Continuous Improvement: Record lessons learned in budgeting and preconstruction to promote continuous improvement and implement best practices. Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop strategies to minimize their impact on timelines and costs. Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Vendor Management: Partner with the project team to select, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors and contractors to achieve project objectives. Compliance and Standards: Ensure preconstruction activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control processes during planning, ensuring high standards are maintained in design. Skills Required Industry Knowledge: Strong grasp of data center budgeting, cost-effectiveness, and the relationship between budget and timeline. Data Center Industry Relationships: Utilize and expand your connections to bolster preconstruction initiatives. Budget Process: Expertise in organizing, evaluating, and communicating baseline budgets through all project phases. Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop and implement strategies that align with broader organizational objectives. Understanding of Project Management: Demonstrated experience overseeing the complex planning, design, and budgeting phases of construction projects. Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills to effectively guide and motivate a team of preconstruction specialists. Vendor Management: Proficient in selecting, negotiating, and managing contracts with external partners. Budget Management: Significant experience in creating and responsibly managing budgets. Risk Management: Ability to recognize risks and devise innovative mitigation strategies. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards. Compensation Range and Benefits Hiring Range: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum, with potential for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
