Job Description Join us as a Lead Product Manager - Construction Solutions, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing construction capabilities within the NetSuite ERP platform. In this critical position, you will define and drive the strategic vision for an all-encompassing construction-ready ERP solution, focusing on: Construction accounting Project financial management Industry compliance Workflows for contractors and subcontractors Your mission will be to establish NetSuite as the premier ERP solution in the construction industry, serving general contractors, subcontractors, and builders. You will determine essential features to integrate into NetSuite to effectively compete with specialized construction platforms while leveraging NetSuite's core financial strengths. Key success metrics include vertical ARR growth, improved competitive win rates, adoption of new construction capabilities, and defining our industry presence. Core Responsibilities Construction Product Strategy & Leadership Own the product strategy for Construction within the NetSuite ERP ecosystem. Lead the prioritization and identification of new features crucial for construction accounting and project financial management. Translate complex operations of contractors and builders into scalable ERP functionalities. Work closely with Engineering to ensure effective delivery of impactful vertical enhancements. Construction Domain Expertise Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas such as: Job costing and cost-to-complete forecasting Work-in-progress (WIP) reporting Percentage-of-completion revenue recognition AIA progress billing and retention management Change order tracking and financial impact analysis Subcontract management and pay applications Project budgeting and forecasting Equipment cost allocation and utilization Consolidation of multi-project and multi-entity operations Ensuring compliance and audit readiness in construction accounting Be aware of the integration requirements between ERP and field project management systems (e.g., Procore). Construction Accounting & Compliance Focus Expand NetSuite’s capabilities in: ASC 606 revenue recognition for construction WIP schedules and financial transparency Bonding and surety reporting needs Project cash flow forecasting Audit-ready financial controls Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Competitive Differentiation Identify performance gaps relative to specialized construction solutions (e.g., Procore, Sage Intacct Construction, Viewpoint). Decide on areas where NetSuite should build, partner, or integrate. Create a vision for integrating ERP with AI for improved construction financial insights. AI-Driven Innovation Lead initiatives for AI-enabled use cases in construction, which include: Predictive analysis for cost overruns Margin risk detection per project Automated WIP variance analysis Financial impact modeling for change orders Cash flow risk forecasting Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. Support strategic construction deals that require product credibility. Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting senior-level expectations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 10+ years of experience in product management or leading industry solutions. Extensive knowledge of construction accounting and financial operations. Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and compliance requirements. Experience with ERP systems is essential; familiarity with NetSuite is a significant advantage. Proven track record of transforming industry needs into scalable product capabilities. Exceptional skills in executive communication and stakeholder influence. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Procore or similar project management tools. Knowledge of Oracle Construction products (e.g., Primavera, Textura, Aconex). Experience in mid-market and upper mid-market contractor environments. An MBA or equivalent professional education is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role ranges from $82,500 to $199,500 annually, including bonuses and equity opportunities.
