Lead Preconstruction Manager - Mechanical

Position Overview Join a leading employee-owned mechanical contractor as a Senior Preconstruction Manager specializing in Mechanical Construction. Key Responsibilities Direct front-end planning and conceptual estimating for mechanical scopes including HVAC, piping, and plumbing. Develop and manage comprehensive budgets, cost models, and preconstruction schedules. Oversee the definition of scope, bid packaging, and engage in value engineering efforts. Collaborate with internal engineering, BIM, and fabrication teams to ensure efficient design and constructability. Serve as the primary client liaison with owners, architects, and general contractors to guide project direction and manage expectations. Produce accurate and timely proposals and preconstruction packages that facilitate outstanding project execution. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical preconstruction, estimating, or project planning. Proven skills in creating conceptual budgets and supporting design-assist/design-build delivery methods. Solid technical knowledge of HVAC and piping systems. Exceptional communication, analytical, and presentation abilities. Successful background in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
