Position: Contractor As a Senior Network Engineering Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our network infrastructure and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your key responsibilities will include: Testing and supporting new network hardware and configurations while diligently following Change Management protocols. Conducting expert-level diagnostics to enhance network communications within our corporate systems. Offering support to the Network Engineering team as required. Troubleshooting network issues and providing technical assistance for both hardware and software inquiries. Creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation to support our operational needs. Establishing new network connections for partner companies or recent acquisitions tailored to their specific requirements. Collaborating with various teams to offer insights on the tools utilized throughout the organization. Staying informed about technological advancements through training and relevant literature. Maintaining a thorough understanding of all corporate-owned hardware and software. Partnering with third-party vendors and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Creating and keeping current network diagrams for the organization. Managing network inventory within the Configuration Inventory Database. Performing equipment patching, upgrades, and office refreshes as necessary. Collaborating closely with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with network security protocols. Communicating effectively and collaborating with colleagues both verbally and in writing. Organizing and prioritizing work assignments to achieve efficient workload management. Applying ITIL best practices in network management for enhanced service delivery. Participating in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed. Taking on additional tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications/Requirements: Associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 1 year in a Senior Associate or equivalent role. Preferred experience in Network Operations and Design. Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems is advantageous. Current certifications such as CCNA R&S, CCPN, or AWS Solutions Architect are preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Strong understanding of Firewall, Router, and Switching principles. Proficient in Cisco ASA Firewalls, ISR Routers, Nexus and Catalyst Switches, Meraki MX, MS, and MR Equipment. Experience with HSRP and various Dynamic Routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF). Extensive knowledge of route-based and policy-based IPsec VPNs and Remote Access VPN tunnels. Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds NPM/NCM and PRTG. Experience with Rancid, NPS servers, LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS, SCP, SNMP, SSH, DNS. Strong grounding in Wireless technology, including design, implementation, troubleshooting, and 802.1x protocols. Experience with MPLS, QOS, and Zone-Based Firewalls. Knowledge of Cisco Umbrella, AnyConnect, and WLAN controllers. Familiarity with AWS Cloud native services. Experience with multi-cloud and multi-vendor network connectivity. Understanding of Load Balancer technologies and principles. Strong troubleshooting skills in L2/L3 issues, including voice, speed, and fragmentation. Familiarity with integrating physical and virtual networking environments. Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Able to adhere to corporate policies regarding customer support. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Compensation: The annual base salary for this role ranges from $50,000.00 to $100,000.00, depending on qualifications, experience, training, skills, geographic location, and market comparison.
