No previous locating experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training and potential advancement opportunities. Your daily responsibilities will include working independently in the field, using your company-provided vehicle, and utilizing our advanced ticket and claims management systems to ensure accuracy in marking out services. Your Responsibilities: Utilize locating equipment to identify gas lines and mark areas with paint and flags to prevent damage to underground infrastructure, which may involve some hand digging. Gain familiarity with underground utility systems. Adhere to all safety guidelines and damage prevention protocols established by the company and regulatory bodies. Depending on assignments, you may also locate other utilities in addition to gas lines. This is a daytime, full-time position. Due to our 48-hour turnaround requirements for many locates, you may also be required to work holidays and some weekends. Availability for overtime and on-call shifts is essential. Availability for overtime, weekend, and on-call shifts. Local travel is required; some out-of-area travel may be necessary. Able to pass a drug screening due to safety-sensitive nature of the job. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 75 lbs, and navigate various terrains. Ability to distinguish colors related to utility markings. Comfortable with computer-based tasks. Ability to read and interpret locate tickets, maps, and basic mathematical operations.
