Job Title: Registered Nurse - Home Health Field Schedule: 5 Days, 8 Hours (Monday - Friday) Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse for a contract position in home health care. Perform additional duties as necessary to support patient care and the functionality of the team. This role requires you to stay informed about federal, state, and local laws, as well as accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, to ensure compliance in all aspects of your responsibilities. Physical and Environmental Requirements: This role necessitates significant physical effort, including the capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds consistently. Physical demands exceed those for sedentary work, as this position includes active patient care and may involve moving objects and walking or standing for extended periods. You will routinely confront exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases, as well as the potential hazards associated with materials and medications. Qualifications: Active RN license in the relevant state or a Compact License. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with 2 years preferred. Local and traveling candidates are welcome to apply. Education: RN degree required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are mandatory. At least 1 year of home health experience is essential. Familiarity with HCHB EMR and OASIS start of care is required. Certifications: Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in the use of computers, software applications, and web-based tools. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills complemented by effective organizational abilities. Self-directed with excellent time management skills. Ability to make sound judgments in various situations.
