About This Role: The Lead Solution Engineer role combines in-depth technical knowledge with client-facing collaboration. You will devote the majority of your time to developing internal tools and advanced analytics models, while also engaging with clients and internal teams to enhance solutions and provide insights. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about utilizing data to drive business success, while also enjoying both development and presentation. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain internal analytics tools for cross-functional use (approximately 80% of your time). Engage in client-facing analytic calibration and optimization projects (approximately 20% of your time). Create, test, and deploy machine learning models and AI enhancements to assess product performance and maturity. Prepare, process, and analyze data leveraging various programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, C++, R, SAS, Scala). Communicate results and recommendations effectively to internal teams and occasionally to clients. Document models, analytics procedures, and best practice guidelines. Mentor junior data scientists, facilitating their growth and development. Collaborate with sales, professional services, and client success teams to identify and address customer attrition risks. Manage small-scale projects independently while contributing to larger initiatives with guidance from senior personnel. Implement best practices in data science, time management, and organizational skills. Qualifications: Proficiency in multiple programming languages commonly utilized in data science (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, C++, R, SAS, and/or Scala). Skill in selecting the appropriate coding language to effectively address business inquiries. Expertise in data science, statistical analysis, and machine learning model programming. Capability to independently define and execute new statistical steps with support from senior leaders. Experience in data preparation and processing for analysis, including innovative data strategies. Strong communication skills, facilitating clear presentations of complex data insights to varied audiences. Self-motivated and organized, able to work well independently and within team settings. Demonstrated capability to mentor and support junior team members. Willingness to travel occasionally as necessary. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred). Compensation: The base pay range is as follows: Home-based in Illinois, $100,100 - $166,800; Colorado, $95,300 - $158,800; Chicago, $104,800 - $174,700; Maryland, $100,100 - $166,800; New York, $104,800 - $174,700; New York City, $114,300 - $190,500; Rochester, NY, $95,300 - $158,800; New Jersey, $112,574 - $179,826; Ohio, $90,500 - $150,900; U.S. National base pay range, $95,300 - $158,800.
